So PotC: At World’s End came out this week and once again, everybody’s going gaga over Captain Jack Sparrow, saying how he’s the most badass captain of all time and blah blah blah. However, in my experiences, that title has only been reserved for one pirate and only one pirate alone.
The captain of the Arcadia that lives under his own flag. Captain Harlock.
..God I wish somebody would actually make this movie T_T
CHAI YO MUST PAY 10 MILLION BAHT TO TSUBURAYA PRODUCTION AND DO NOT USE THE NAME OF TSUBURAYA FOR HIS COMPANY BOTH IN THAI AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE , THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COURT RULED ON 14 th OF MAY, 2007.
This is the headline right now on henshin-hero.com. Is it really true? Is Tsuburaya Chaiyo no more? Could this be the moment us Ultraman fans have been waiting for? Has the giant Ultra Mochi Hammer finally fallen?
The details themselves have yet to be translated so stay tuned folks!
I found this out of nowhere on YouTube. It’s the opening for a 1977 Independent Japanese action flick entitled “Akuma Stalking III: Attack!! Gang Army“, directed by Temujin Hijikata.
I can’t find anymore info on this flick but I’m going to keep digging. God that theme song is catchy…
Okay I just got back from ACen today. My voice is completely shot, my feet are killing me and I’m about to turn in for the first bit of decent sleep in three days. However, I figured as part of a JusticeACE exclusive, I could reveal two bombshells that myself and the crew from Henshin Justice uncovered.
So today’s the day where I spend the last few hours of the night worrying and fretting over getting everything packed and whether or not I packed enough shirts/pants/Shark Repellent Bat-Spray to last me through the weekend.
That’s right folks, Anime Central is close at hand and come time tomorrow, I shall be on my way to the Hyatt Regency for three days of cosplay, screaming fangirls, and free booze all around chaos.
Oh and sponsorship in my case.
That’s right, you’re not seeing things. That’s the R5 Central logo on the long awaited ACen Supra Mk III by longtime convention partner in crime, Ron “Soulcrash” Ladao. You can see it yourself at the Acen 07 Car Show in the dealers room if you’re going. I’ll be sure to take pictures but yeah, this shalt rock.
Myself and a few of the peeps from HJU will be attendance so feel free to say hi but no stalking…unless you’re hot, female, and legal..ly sane ^^
Or if you’re anything like these girls here from the 1980’s action drama, Sailor Fuku Hangyaku Doumei (Sailor Uniform Rebellion Alliance);
Pop Superstar Miho Nakayama stars in this Sukeban Deka type action/drama series as high school student Miho Yamagata. Her father was the Principal at Kurotori High School and was forced out of his position when he was stricken down by a mysterious illness. In his place a corrupt new principle, staff and student council takes his place and terrorize the student body. Miho fights her own battle to battle the new injustices.
At the same time 3 other school girls Yumi, Ruri, and Kei have formed their own vigilante group “Sailor Fuku Hangyaku Doumei” to fight the powers that be.
The whole series is available at D-Addicts if ye want to check it out. I’ll give ye guys a review when I finally finish it but back to the topic at hand here.
I’m in the process of writing up a “Poor Otaku’s Guide to Surviving the Dealer’s Room”. Basically, because I’m somewhat skint (or low on cash for those that are too lazy to click the link), it’ll be a bunch of pointers on how to make it out of a con with a decent haul no matter the budget constraints. I’ll be posting it either before I leave for when I come back to coincide with the coverage for R5. Either way, it should make for interesting reading when it’s all done.
Now I have to get back to packing and pray I don’t forget anything else vital. (Now where did I put that Beta Capsule….)
So you guys remember how awhile back I was really stoked for the new sequel for Sukeban Deka, last year’s Codename: Asamiya Saki? Good news is that it’s getting stateside release in a few months (at last) via Magnolia Pictures.
However, why exactly does this news make me want to book a trip to Japan with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire?
