FRIDAY ACE: “Forgot to Prank” Edition – Week of 03/30/08

So I completely forgot that April Fool’s was this week and I’m slightly miffed because I hadn’t thought of anything to do for the occasion. Closest thing was the promo I cooked up for Rangercast but even that didn’t have the impact of say the prank I pulled two years ago with R5.

Ah well…Maybe next year I’ll get everybody good. But at least a lot of fun stuff happened this week that made up for it. The majority of it that I liked is in this installment of Friday ACE….

Nostalgic Laser Blades

I recently got back in touch with an old acquaintance of mine who had recently moved to the Phillipines and is a noted fan of Uchuu Keiji Shaider. Remembering this, I just had to ask…

ME: ….did you ever get to see Zaido?

MARI: Hahah Yes. A bit. Then i cried and turned the TV off

ME: (Snerk) You weren’t the only one.

MARI: It was horrifying. I died…. I’m like “NEVER AGAIN!”

ME: There are people that actually LIKE that for some reason

MARI: the weird ones who like the actors … i cant stand it

ME: Well that and people who think it’s actually the best thing since the original for some reason

MARI: What?! I still like Annie and Shaider. Nothing beats that

ME: A-Fscking-Men. But at least you survived to tell the tale. You know that one of the rival networks was thinking of doing a Maskman remake >_>

MARI: I know….I have a friend in that network and I was like “I’m gonna kill you if you do that”.

ME: …[If you were still here] I’d be tackle hugging you for that.
